About Me

Sue DelaneyHello. My name is Sue Delaney. I offer hypnotherapy, psychotherapy and coaching. I am based in Grove Park, in Chiswick, where I live with my family.

My aim is to find solutions to problems such as stress, anxiety, lack of confidence, sleeplessness, weight control, phobias and smoking addiction. But I’m also a firm believer in using hypnosis to boost confidence and improve concentration, which can be transformational in sport and other areas of performance, including public speaking and exam nerves.

I offer a friendly, warm and completely confidential space to unload any fears and worries and use a range of different techniques so that we can work together to find the best approach.

Some people find sessions a valuable way of recharging their batteries and taking stock in their stressful lives while others are keen to see quick, measurable progress towards relief from their symptoms. While some want to look back over their lives to find the source of the problem, others just need coping strategies to move forwards. We are all unique, but we each possess the potential to change. Please call for a brief chat about how I can help you to reach your goals.

Qualifications and training
Getting the right therapist is important. My post-graduate diploma in hypnotherapy and psychotherapy is from the National College of Hypnosis, Psychotherapy and Mindfulness, which has been teaching in this area since 1977. This qualification is regulated by the UKCP, the National Council for Hypnotherapy and the European Association for Hypno-Psychotherapy as well as the Open University.

Courses at the National College are thorough, as they should be. The diploma requires more than 450 hours of in-person tutoring. Having achieved that with credit, I am continuing my studies and am following the pathway to full registration as a psychotherapist with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. As such, I am committed to practising in accordance with the UKCP code of ethics and undertake continuous professional development, as well as meeting regularly with an accredited and experienced supervisor.
